Update: Thanks to Gniedler for this all-in-one download package.
Over the past 5 months, map makers have been hard at work creating maps around the theme of Competitive CTF. Although over 90 entries were in the works, they have been whittled down by the 8th May deadline to 26 final contestants. Maps were design and tested under standard Competitive CTF rules – 30 minutes, most captures wins. Though as ever, experimentation has been done, and several of the maps have changed the gameplay significantly, such as putting the map on the cart, adding touch return to the flags, and letting the teams battle over a neutral flag.

(above, “Landfall” – One of several sweet looking upcoming ctf maps)
They were tested in both public and competitive situations (via TF2Lobby), and were aimed to be fun to play in both environments (as a lot of the contestants previously had little experience of competitive conditions). Map makers are now in a week’s grace period where they can fix any fatal bugs in their maps, with Judging commencing in a short time after that, but otherwise, the following entries are final. 1st place recieves a Novint Falcon Bundle, 2nd place recieves their choice of game from Steam, and 3rd recieves a Mouse Pad (along with some TF2 goodies).
This contest should be of great interest to competitive CTF, as it aims to broaden the possible map choice and help rejuvinate a worn out game mode by adding interesting new twists. All the maps are previewed after the jump.
A big thanks to Randalf for his thorough and informing contribution.

So there you have it. 26 entries, but only 1 can win. It’s likely that there will be at least a month to playtest the maps, before voting is opened. You can find discussion/feedback threads for all the maps in the WIP Forum (linked below), if you wish to help out the authors.
