b4nny feelin' so fly Like A G6

b4nny has returned after a season off, and he is coming back in different colours.

froyotech's last stint was the Spring Miniseason back in February. When Season 20 rolled around in May, froyotech were no where to be seen. A few weeks into the season he was sitting out, he spelled out what was keeping him off a roster:

No plans to play the current season atm. I'd rather play, truly, but the Invite division is suffering from structural/cultural issues that are poisonous to keeping a team alive and I'm just not too keen to trudge through it all right now. I do hope things recover somehow. GLHF

While he was away, Like A G6 put together the best season an NA team has had in a long time. They went 18-0, dropped nothing in the regular season or the playoffs, and closed it out with a 3-0 sweep of GlobalClan Xiao in the Grand Final.

Three of his new teammates are already familiar to him. SOOOOOAPYMEiSTER, kobe and LOLGUY all played the Season 19 title run on froyotech last November before heading back to G6, where all three had spent years beforehand. SOOOOOAPYMEiSTER has now been on eight G6 rosters, kobe six, LOLGUY four. The genuinely new faces are the two who have held the place together the whole time, cap with ten seasons and logan with nine.

Like A G6 are the only team to have beaten froyotech in an RGL 6s Grand Final, and they have done it twice, 3-1 in Season 11 and 3-2 in Season 15 after climbing out of the lower bracket. They took the Grand Final at The Block LAN 2023 as well. froyotech have won plenty of the other 37 meetings, including the Season 9 and Season 17 finals, so this will be the first time b4nny watches that rivalry from the other bench.

It has been a while since b4nny wore anything else. He left iT on the 25th of January 2014 to start froyotech, and every 6s league season since, through CEVO, ESEA and all nineteen RGL seasons, has been under that same name. As a rostered 6s team, this is his first change in twelve years.

For froyotech, meanwhile, Season 21 has come and gone without a roster. b4nny had been the constant at the centre of the organisation since 2014, and now finds himself on the other side of the rivalry alongside three players he once shared the froyotech jersey with. Whether this is simply a season away for froyotech, or the end of its long tenure in Invite, is something only time will tell.
