About Enemy Down Spring Bonanzaaa 8v8
The 8v8 half of Enemy Down's Spring Bonanzaaa, worth £1,200 (£800 to the winner, £400 to the runner-up). 24 clans in four groups of six played five single-map weeks from 20 March 2008 (dustbowl, well, badlands, granary, gravelpit), and the top two of each group went into an eight-team finals cup.
Clan United won it, beating Virtual Troopers 16-1 over cp_pro_granary and cp_well in the final on 22 May 2008. Virtual Troopers reached the final on two default wins: Packard Bell Four Kings were short of players for their quarter-final and it went down as a default, and Weapons of the Rebelion, who won the semi-final 9-7 on gravelpit, were later ruled to have broken the rules and the match was given to Virtual Troopers.
Enemy Down's site is gone; this event is rebuilt from Wayback Machine captures of enemydown.co.uk, with details from cadred.org's coverage. Only 12 of the 60 group games were archived with a result, so the match list is partial. The whole finals cup survives. Scores are rounds, as Enemy Down recorded them.
The final tables are Enemy Down's own, from a capture of 12 February 2011, with each clan under the name it played as at the time. League points were 3 for a win and 1 for a draw; +/- is Enemy Down's own difference column.
